Dissolving your Interfacing

Image-10.jpeg

Your Stitching is done (hooray!) and now its time to dissolve the interfacing

Separate

Separate the hoop and fabric carefully and with scissors, cut close to but not into your stitches. Cut all around your design, removing as much excess interfacing as you can.

Rinse

Rinse your design with warm water, agitating if necessary. try not to stress the fabric by pulling and stretching. gently roll the now wet fabric into a loose tube, and carefully squeeze excess water out.

Lay it out

Carefully lay out the fabric with your design (I like to lay it flat on a drying mat, the same type of mat you put dishes on after washing them from you sink). let the fabric dry completely.

Once the design is 100% dry you can place it back into the hoop, centering it before putting the outer hoop on. Gently pull to tighten, twist the screw if necessary.
